TaughtMe is from Utah. I first heard them on Myspace, when Justin Lamoureaux told me to check them out. I was immediately drawn to their unique sound. I was asked to help get them a show, so I asked them to send some promo materials. They sent show posters and a couple copies of the CD.
I put the CD in and could not stop listening. I hate trying to make comparisons, but their sound falls somewhere between Modest Mouse and Sigur Ros. Clever arrangements with quirky lyrics.

something different for omaha - tuesday night show!!!
hey everyone,
i am so excited about this show tomorrow, it's such an honor to share the stage with blake and his band(taughtme)! i played a show with TaughtMe while i was touring through Salt Lake City area. I would honestly say that they were my favorite band while traveling all over the country. i think if you have nothing going on, you should come out and be blown away... well, in a indie-folk-ambient sort of way. hope to see you tomorrow in omaha!

TaughtMe was absolutely unbelievable. Easily one of the best live shows I have seen recently. In fact, I would say ever.
