It's True heard you "really"...they are breaking up. Benson isn't moving to Lincoln anytime soon....but next Friday July 9th-a ton of Lincoln bands will be playing in Benson for Lincoln Invasion. Come check them out.

Why would anyone think playing in Hawaii is some sort of badge of pride? Those people will listen to anything.

really -
I was once involved in a project that made a TMac "Local Album of the Year".
We toured. We paid for marketing. We had write-ups in local arts mags from Lincoln to New York (hell, even Pitchfork)
The fact of the matter is that labels are hemorrhaging, if they aren't already dead, and if you aren't already polished, packaged and ready to ship, they won't put their stamp on you. They need to turn a buck, pure and simple.
Labels and out-of-town reviews won't save you. If music is what you want to do, do it for the love of it, but forget making money off of it.
By the way, if you want an out-of-town review, you need to send a ton of discs. From experience, you get about 25 reviews for every 1000 discs you send, and that's assuming you send them to the right people.
On top of that, expect to see closer to 75 on Amazon or eBay, unopened. Most critics have no shame.

I wonder if the "breakup" is part of the "documentary" being filmed?

Hands down the strangest, most locally inbred, obfuscating conversation I've ever read on here.
It's True is a good band. It'd be a shock if they made it big (just like it is when ANY band makes it). Other than that, why the hate?

Good riddance i say. Omaha has enough wimpy folk rock bands. Im so sick of bands with no balls and dumb little exclamation points behind their names.

I would like those 3 min back please. Gross, I think is a pretty good description of that video.

I actually really liked the video. It had a touch of the cheekiness that's been such a big part of, say for example, OK Go's success.
Strange time to release a video, though, just before breaking up. I'm no business major, but...

to: ok go! and now omaha band, it's true
we want our idea back. you know, the one for the underdog? yes, you both do because you stole the idea. one of you stole it twice(and first) then the other stole an already stolen idea from them. anyway, way to try and be hip via our brain. in your defense it is lower class version of our idea that was not as well executed...but it was still actually pretty cool. it is also an amazing song.
